Left the motel in southern Alexandria, Virginia, and drove rush hour traffic into Arlington to visit Arlington National Cemetery. We arrived shortly after its 8:00am opening time. It was a cool and damp morning; it seemed appropriate that we wander through this special place on a dreary day.
