We started day two having coffee and water at Denny's. We entered I-40 at 5:55am and drove east into a sunrise. If the clouds had been hire, the sunrise would have been a grand show.

We had 40 minutes before the park opened so we did a litter patrol before entering the Petrified Forest National Park at 7:00am.
