We escaped the Valley of the Sun at 8:20am using Loop 101 south, Loop 202 west, and I-10 south to AZ Hwy-347. Took AZ Hwy-347 south into the town of Maricopa to see the California Zephyr railroad car.

The Union Pacific #4060 went past while we were stopped at the Zephyr.

The development in this area is beyond belief. [Note: Maricopa is in Pinal county.]
