Attending the DARPA race was part of 4 day/3 night, 918 mile, roadtrip that included visits to Nothing AZ, Kingman AZ (and the White Cliffs Wagon Train Park), Route 66, Oatman AZ, Baker CA, the Mojave National Preserve in CA, Rice CA, and the Tamarisk Shoe Tree in CA. ATF Fall 2005 Meeting and the DARPA Grand Challenge.
DARPA Urban Challenge
[Tempe; Nov-2007] I attended the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge in Victorville, California. Attending the DARPA race was part of 3 day/2 night, 854 mile, roadtrip that included visits to Quartzsite, San Bernardino (and the California Theater), Rialto (and the Wigwam Motel), Bono's Restaurant in Fontana. Drove Route 66 though the Cajon Pass. Visited Twentynine Palms and Rice, California, located on CA Hwy-62.
