a.  Find the slope between the points  (1, 4)  and  (3, 12).

b.  Find the slope between the points  (-1, 4)  and  (3, -12).

c.  Find the equation of the straight line that has a slope of 
    three and passes through the point (4, -3).

d.  Find the equation of the line that passes through the points 
    (0, 0) and (4, 10).

e.  Given the line  y = 4x + 2, find the line that passes through
    the point (1, 2) that is parallel to the given line. 

f.  Given the line y = 4x + 2, find the line that passes through
    the point (1, 2) that is perpendicular to the given line. 

g.  Record the point of intersection for  y = -2x + 1  and  y = 3x + 2.

h.  Record the the vertical and horizontal intercepts for  f(x) = 2x + 100.

i.  5x + 2y + 10 = 0 is a linear equation in standard form.  
    Re-write the linear equation in slope-intercept form.

j.  Graph the function  g(n) = -3n - 3
