BARS::Approaching 14 Ave. and Bay 8 St. via Belt Parkway

This road sign was taken in New York City by Fela.

The sign says...

   the numbers are:  4  8  14  1/4

   the math is:  8 * sqrt(1/4) = sqrt(sqrt(4) + 14)

   observe...
      left-side:
         sqrt(1/4) = 1/2
         8 * 1/2 = 4
      right-side:
         sqrt(4) = 2
         14 + 2 = 16
         sqrt(16) = 4

This road sign could not be submitted to RoadSignMath.com because it contains fractions; however, fractions are allowed in a BARS (Basic Arithmetic Road Sign).

   the math is:  sqrt(8 * (1/4) + 14) = 4

   more math:  14 - 8 - sqrt(4) = reciprocal(1/4)
