BARS::NM Hwy-314 Highway Sign on Pi Day 2007 in New Mexico

This highway sign is in New Mexico.

The highway sign says...

   +-------+
   | North |
   |  314  |
   +-------+
   the number is:  314

   split_into_squares_sum(314) = { 256, 49, 9 }

   the numbers become:  256  49  9

   the math is:  sqrt(sqrt(256)) + sqrt(9) = sqrt(49)

   observe...
      sqrt(256) = 16
      sqrt(16) = 4
      sqrt(9) = 3
      4 + 3 = 7
      sqrt(49) = 7

   ---

   split_into_squares_sum(314) = { 289, 25 }

   rs42Eval math:  sqrt(289) + 25 = 42

This highway sign was used to provide an example of the power of the split_into_squares_sum(n) function. The function was created during late-April of 2008 and it allows signs containing only one number to become BARS (Basic Arithmetic Road Signs).

This BARS (#418) is the first BARS to contain a rs42Eval. Over time, most of the other 417 BARS will be re-examined to see if they contain rs42Evals.
