BARS::Pi Sign Found Eight Miles South of Hannibal, Missouri

This road sign was found eight miles south of Hannibal, Missouri, on MO Hwy-79.

The road sign says...

   the numbers are:  8  1  2  22

   the math is:  22 / (8 + 1 - 2) = Pi (3.14)

   [solve for 'n']  22 / (n + 1 - 2) = Pi (3.14)

   more math:  22 / (sqrt(8^2) - 1) = Pi (3.14)

   off-by-one math:  (8 / 2)! - 1 = 22 (+ 1)

On 1 July 2006, RoadSignMath.com (RSM) did not have any road signs from Missouri. This sign was submitted to RSM on 27 August 2006.

I was notified by RSM that this road sign was no longer valid because of a rule change related to signs that evaluate to mathematical constants such as Pi.

   "3) The solution must match exactly for all decimals returned 
       in the equation. You cannot truncate any decimals."

The equation (22 / (8 + 1 - 2)) evaluates to 3.142857. Pi to six decimal digits is 3.141592. In a nutshell, RoadSignMath.com will not accept road signs that use (22 / 7) to approximate Pi.
