Joey Chestnut Wins the 2017 Nathan's Mustard Yellow Belt

On 4 July 2017, Joey Chestnut consumed 72 HDBs in 10 minutes to win the 2017 Nathan's Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest. Carmen Cincotti finished second with 62 HDBs. It was Chestnut's 10th Yellow Belt.

The Wikipedia says: "According to legend, on July 4, 1916 four immigrants had a hot dog eating contest at Nathan's Famous stand on Coney Island to settle an argument about who was the most patriotic. After ten minutes, James Mullen had eaten thirteen hot dogs and was crowned the victor."

Miki Sudo ate 38 HDBs in 10 minutes to win the women's competition in 2017. It was her 4th win a row, but she fell short of the record of 45 HDBs set by Sonya "The Black Widow" Thomas.
