Flag Day 2017

Flag Day is June 14th and it celebrates the "adoption of the flag of the United States on 14 June 1777."

WisconsinHistory.org stated: "Bernard J. Cigrand, in June 1886, first publicly proposed an annual observance of the birth of the United States flag in an article titled The Fourteenth of June."

President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed June 14 as Flag Day in 1916.
