25th Anniversary of the Bell System Break Up

1 January 2009 was the 25th anniversary of the break-up of AT&T (i.e. Ma Bell; the Bell System). MathBabbler got a job as a Member of Technical Staff (MTS) at AT&T Bell Labs upon graduating from the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater in 1979. MathBabbler worked at Bell Labs in Columbus, Ohio (OhighO), until May of 1985. MathBabbler moved to Arizona to become a MTS at GTE Communication Systems. In 1997, MathBabbler became an instructor at Scottsdale Community College (SCC).

RoadHacker Nanofoo

On a roadtrip on US Hwy-50 in Nevada, RoadHacker took a picture of a Bell System mural that he came across on Ely. The picture was used by the Porticus Centre website, which maintains a Bell System memorial website.
