Arizona Minimum Wage Going Up

On 1 January 2009, Arizona's minimum wage is increasing $0.35 per hour to $7.25 per hour. This will be third consecutive annual increase.

In 2006, when voters approved a proposition to increase Arizona's minimum wage every January 1st, the minimum wage was $5.15 per hour.

The federal minimum wage, which is currently $6.55 per hour, increases to $7.25 per hour in July of 2009.
