YouTube... To Switch or Not To Switch on Numb3rs

Three cards are used to allow somebody a chance to win a car. Two cards contain the word "foo" and one card has the word "car." A player is given an opportunity to pick-a-card. It is mentioned that the odds of picking a winning card are 1-in-3. A card is exposed and it says "foo." The player is then given a chance to switch their pick. Question: Should they switch?

A search of the web resulted in finding a Numb3rs blog at Northeastern University. Their blog posting about this specific episode of Numb3rs revealed that the problem posed is the "Monte Hall Problem."
