World's Oldest Person Dies at 114

The world's oldest person, Emma Faust Tillman, died in Hartford, Conneticut, on 28 January 2007. Tillman was born on 22 November 22 1892. She was one of 23 children and four of her sisters lived up to more than 100 years.

With Emma's death, Yone Minagawa is now the world's oldest person. Yone lives in southern Japan and she was born on 4 January 1893. The world's oldest man, Tomoji Tanabe of Japan, was born on 18 September 1895.
