Joke... How Old Are Your Parents?

GDT has gotten some great quotes from the Weekly Teacher Tip Newsletter. From time-to-time, the newsletter has a joke that contains math.

   A teacher said to her student, "William, if both of your 
   parents were born in 1976, how old are they now?"

   After a few moments, William answered, "It depends."

   "It depends on what?" she asked.

   "It depends on whether you ask my father or my mother."

  3. The Wikipedia says that during January of 1976, the "Cray-1 -- the first commercially developed supercomputer -- was released by Seymour Cray's Cray Research." The Cray-1 weighed 5.5 short tons. The African elephant is the world's largest land animal and on average it weighs 15,400 pounds.
