Most speed limits are multiples of 5. For example, Valley of the Sun freeways typically have speed limits of either 55 or 65. Major surface streets are usually either 45 or 40, with school zones set at 35. Neighborhood streets are usually 25, with school zones at 15. Arizona interstates outside metropolitan areas are typically 75.

   5 10 15 25 35 40 45 55 65 75 are all multiples of 5

   5 * 1 = 5
   5 * 2 = 10
   5 * 3 = 15
   ...
   5 * 15 = 75
