The front-page of the 23 February 2005 Arizona Republic had an article on all the rain that has fallen around the western part of the United States. The following data was obtained from that article.

  1. Record the city that has had the most rainfall.

  2. Record the city that normally gets the least rainfall.

  3. Write San Francisco's total rainfall amount in words.

  4. Calculate how many inches above normal Phoenix rainfall has been.

  5. Calculate the percentage above normal Phoenix rainfall has been.

  6. Round San Diego's normal rainfall to the nearest tenth of an inch.

  7. Phoenix average annual rainfall amount is 7.66 inches. Las Vegas average annual rainfall amount is 4.0 inches.

  8. Has Phoenix total rainfall exceeded its average annual amount?

  9. Has Las Vegas total rainfall exceeded its average annual amount?

  10. There are 12 inches in a foot.

  11. Using a decimal number, record how many feet of rain San Francisco has had rounding your answer to the nearest hundredth.

  12. Write the ratio of total-to-normal rainfall for Los Angeles.
