The northern end (top) of the Mokee Dugway drops into the Valley of the Gods located in southeast Utah.

Using the information given in the roadsigns, answer the following questions assuming we drive the Mokee Dugway from top to bottom.

Exercises
  1. Compute the elevation (in feet) at the bottom of the Mokee Dugway.

  2. Compute how long it will take to drive to the bottom if we drive 5 miles per hour.

  3. Compute the average drop in elevation in feet per mile.

  4. Compute the percentage change in elevation from the top of Mokee Dugway to its bottom.

  5. Pretend we approached Mokee Dugway in the opposite direction (i.e. from the bottom). Compute the percentage change in elevation from the bottom of Mokee Dugway to its top.
