Beer Brats [Bratwurst]

6 brats
6 rolls (buns)
2 cans beer
1 onion
good mustard

Place the brats, beer, and cut up onion in a sauce pan and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Poke the brats with a fork to allow the beer to enter. After they have simmered, I like to let them bathe in the beer for a while. When you are ready to eat, place the brats on a hot grill and cook until the skins are nice and brown. Toast the rolls. Cut the brats down the middle and place on rolls. Apply favorite mustards, top with beer soaked onions, and eat.
