Tom Mix Memorial Litter Patrol

Note: Camera stuck on ZOOM.

AzLitter.org honored Presidents' Day by taking a one-day, 139 mile, road trip to the Tom Mix Memorial to pick-up litter.

Prior to arriving at the Tom Mix Memorial, I stopped to take this Pinal Pioneer Parkway entrance sign. Sadly, the area was a mess. The Litter Patrol filled two bags of litter before resuming our drive south along AZ Hwy-79 to the Tom Mix Memorial.

The Litter Patrol collected three bags of litter and had some fun taking pictures of Artie Artichoke.

The drive home included a drive through Sacaton which has the Matthew B. Juan and Ira H. Hayes Veterans Memorial Park. Across the street from the park was this cool mural. This Veterans Memorial Park has a litter problem and a Litter Alert has been filed. The Sacaton pick-up will include a return to Coolidge for a one-bag pick-up at the Popular Department Store located near the corner of Main and Central.
